Why Racknerd?

RackNerd is a hosting company that sells KVM VPS, shared and reseller hosting and dedicated servers, mostly at low prices. People pick it for a few reasons.

1. Price. RackNerd's cheapest VPS plans cost only a few dollars a year, and it runs sales through the year, including Black Friday and 11.11. You can see the lowest prices right now below.

2. Choice of location. It has servers in many places, mostly in the US with a few elsewhere, so you can pick one close to you or your visitors. The FAQ lists them.

3. A range of products. From a small VPS for learning or a VPN to larger plans, shared and reseller hosting, and dedicated servers.

4. Control. A KVM VPS gives you the whole system to set up as you like. A shared plan is easier if you only want a website running.

Things to weigh up

• Very cheap plans share the physical server with other customers, so performance can vary.
• Check what support you get before you buy, and read RackNerd's terms of service before you build something on a plan.
• Keep your own backups, wherever you host.
